Presentation Summary

Using an interactive group format, this workshop provides practical information on how supervisors can help supervisees to improve the effectiveness and outcomes of their clinical service provision. Topics include considerations for developing supervisees of differing skills levels and effective evaluation of supervisees. Utilizing thought-provoking case vignettes addressing issues such as race, sexual orientation and religion, ethical decision-making in supervision will also be covered and will incorporate related sections of the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics.

Learning Objectives

1.     Gain greater understanding of ethical considerations relevant to clinical supervision through vignette discussion &  role plays

2.     Learn and practice use of an evidence-based ethical decision making model, and how to teach its use to supervisees

3.     Develop proficiency in supervision implementation through role-play
