A wireless network is available throughout both classroom buildings. Connect to the network and then open your browser. If you are allowing pop-us, you will see a login for the network. Check access to databases or ask a librarian for the passwords.
(Before Installation and whenever you want to print – be sure that you are logged in to the wireless network)
Wireless printing is available in Atlanta. You will print to the new copier/printer in the library. It is identified as a Kyocera 5035. You can download drivers from this web site .
PC – In general, you will want to go to “Printers and Faxes” and install a new printer – networked or attached to another computer. Choose the option to “connect to a printer on the internet”. Add the printer address – 192.168.32.152. Precede that with http:// only if your screen directions give that as an example. Tell your computer you are adding a web device (don’t worry if you don’t see this choice). At this point you should be able to choose printer “RICOH” and model Aficio 3045. Now, as long as you are signed onto the wireless network (you can browse to various sites in your web browser), you should be ready to print from anywhere in the building.
Mac – Go to “add a printer”. Usually you will add a line printer (lp) and enter the correct address – 192.168.32.152. Several Macs have been able to access this printer (Kyocera). As an alternative try 192.168.32.152.
The wireless printer has changed so you will need to install a new printer. Unless you have Windows 7 you will want to download and install the printer drivers from this web site. You can also borrow an installation disk from the library front desk. The new printer is a Brother HL-6050DN.
PC – In general, you will want to go to “Printers and Faxes” and install a new printer – networked or attached to another computer. Choose the option to “connect to a printer on the internet”. Add the printer address – 192.168.30.40. Precede that with http:// only if your screen directions give that as an example. Hopefully at this point your computer with automatically recognize the appropriate printer or you will be able to find it under Brother and then HL-6050DN. If not, you will need to be able to point to the driver installation disk or location on the web.
Mac – The driver installation disk has drivers for various Mac OS versions if needed. Go to add a printer. The few times I have watched this process, the next step is to add a lp and then enter the ip address – 192.168.30.40. Your mileage may vary.
If your class syllabus calls for reserve reading materials; these materials may have been uploaded to your class CAMS page. Each library also tries to have a copy of articles on request at their front desks. There is also a copy of class texts on reserve. These may be read in the building and may be available for overnight check-out.
