Several events on January 28 marked the 90th anniversary of Richmont predecessor Chattanooga Bible Institute. Approximately 40 alumni and current and former faculty gathered for lunch and a continuing education hour presented by former PSI/Richmont Dean, Dr. Phil Coyle — “Forty Years as a Marriage and Family Therapist: What Was I Thinking?!?” followed by an open house and chance to socialize and catch up on changes on campus (farewell, red carpet!).
In the evening, more than 120 friends of CBI gathered at the Hunter Museum of American Art for a gala event featuring the premiere of a video summarizing how CBI came together with Atlanta-based Psychological Studies Institute (PSI) to eventually form Richmont Graduate University. Attendees included Richmont alumni, local politicians, and many descendants of several branches of the CBI-founding Sharp family.
