Poindexter Library (Chattanooga)

The Poindexter Library at our Chattanooga campus is named for Mrs. Ellen Sharp Poindexter, one of the founders of the Chattanooga Bible Institute (CBI), which was established in 1933 and merged with Richmont in 2000.  Mrs. Poindexter was a long-time board member and benefactor of CBI. Her granddaughter, Mrs. Eleanor Willingham Powell, was also a member of the Richmont Board of Trustees. In tribute to the Poindexter’s long history of public service, the Poindexter Library serves the general public as well as the Richmont Graduate University community.

The Poindexter Library collection consists of around 15,000 physical volumes, in addition to over 500,000 leased eBooks, videos, audio materials, scholarly journals, and databases. You may search our local catalog in Follett Destiny Discover below, or by visiting the Richmont GALILEO page
